After the strongest Sorcerer fell at the hands of Sukuna, the rest of the cast quickly moved and tried to defeat the King of Curses. Unfortunately, as Sukuna’s Slash and Cleave techniques were constantly being refined and he was also close to regaining his old body, the alliance of Jujutsu Sorcerers still could not gain the upper hand.
Nevertheless, Choso and Itadori were putting up a brave fight through their combination of Black Flashes and Blood Manipulation Techniques. Right when the momentum seemed to be shifting, Sukuna unleashed his Malevolent Shrine. To everyone’s surprise, however, Itadori countered this using his new Simple Domain Technique and collapsed the Domain Expansion.

On the contrary, Choso was a calm individual who did not particularly hate either species. He might seem inexpressive, but he was one of the few characters who was never particularly cruel to anyone in the series.

Through this connection, Choso was able to sense that Itadori was his brother during their intense fight in the Shibuya Arc. Refusing to harm his sibling, he eventually decided to join and protect him.
While Itadori himself was confused by this switch in demeanor, he eventually came to embrace Choso’s familial bonds. Right before Choso passed away, Itadori thanked him for being there when he needed him most, leading to a heartbreaking parting between the two brothers.
