The Boruto manga series has provided us with some exceptional entertainment over the past few months. While fans aren’t entirely happy about the one-month waiting period for each chapter, it’s safe to say that they are looking forward to the subsequent chapters of the manga. Furthermore, it’s clear that this is the final portion of the manga series as we are inching closer to its conclusion day by day. There is one thing in particular that has piqued fans’ interest—shinobi’s power output.

Almost every shinobi in the series has gotten incredibly powerful, all thanks to the three-year training period. This time skip has proven to be quite useful for many of them, especially the likes of Boruto and his younger sister. In fact, some would say that Himawari Uzumaki is all set to surpass her father, the Seventh Hokage of the village.

This might be a bit of a bold statement for those who aren’t up to date with the manga series. However, fans who have read the manga know that she is poised to become one of the most powerful shinobi of her time. There are various factors indicating her growth in the manga.

However, the biggest indicating factor would be her recent power-up. Let’s take a closer look at her recent power-up in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series to get a clear understanding of why she could potentially surpass her father in the manga series.

As mentioned earlier, all shinobi and kunoichi, including Himawari, have gotten incredibly stronger. However, there are very few who have exhibited the kind of power and potential that Himawari does. She is the current Nine-Tailed Beast Jinchuriki. This means she is the vessel to the new Nine-Tailed Beast, and this time around, Kurama seems to be quite smaller as well. There is a lot that we don’t know about the new Nine-Tailed Beast in the manga series.

This is a classic Masashi Kishimoto move. He is known for introducing vague concepts or not providing fans with a complete explanation with respect to an important plot element. In this case, no explanation is provided with respect to how Kurama came into being or how Himawari became the Jinchuriki.

Furthermore, her fight against Jura gave fans a look into her newfound powers. It’s clear that Himawari’s raw talent requires a lot more fine-tuning so that she can use her abilities proficiently during a battle. Furthermore, the match-up was quite one-sided. Let’s take a closer look at how that fight proceeded and analyze the important aspects of the same.

Jura clearly outclassed Himawari and her team. However, she completely snapped when Inojin was fatally wounded. She managed to harness Kurama’s chakra and instantly provided him with medical help that let him live. Following that, she took on Jura and punched him, which sent him into the air. Moments later, she launched a very small-sized Biju Bomb (Tailed Beast Bomb). Jura barely managed to dodge the attack, and it created a massive explosion.

However, Jura released a portion of his true powers and instantly defeated Himawari. But he was shocked by her regenerative powers and even commented that it surpassed what any Jinchuriki-level being should have. Furthermore, it takes some time for a Jinchuriki to fully utilize the Tailed Beast’s chakra. Himawari did it in moments and also used a Tailed Beast Bomb.

As mentioned earlier, Himawari was able to use Kurama’s chakra almost instantly. It took Naruto quite some time to adapt to this. This was one of the earliest indicators of Himawari’s latent potential. However, the sheer extremes of her potential were highlighted in a conversation with Kurama. The Tailed Beast looked a lot smaller than he usually did.

However, Kurama stated an interesting fact that confirms Himawari’s surpassing. He stated that she has a better affinity with Kurama compared to every other Jinchuriki in the past. Furthermore, Jura also admitted that she had much better regenerative powers than any Jinchuriki should have. Himawari is quite young, and she has plenty of time to improve her fighting abilities. Should she channel her time and effort into this, there is absolutely no doubt that she could, one day, surpass her father.

Why Himawari Surpassing Naruto Makes Sense From a Writer’s Standpoint

Masashi Kishimoto Might be Saving Himawari’s Most Underrated Technique for Boruto’s Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, Himawari is quite young compared to most shinobi and kunoichi that we know about. Despite being young, she has shown a ton of promise. Furthermore, she is the protagonist’s sister who was sidelined early in the series. Masashi Kishimoto also gave fans glimpses of Himawari’s brilliance when she used Gentle Fist on Naruto. The manner in which the manga is progressing, it’s clear that Boruto will need assistance with the final antagonist.

There are several candidates, but some believe that Shibai himself might make an appearance. If this is the case, then the likes of Himawari will play an important role in the plot’s progression.

Furthermore, the writers are giving fans glimpses of Himawari’s brilliance. Additionally, she received an incredible set of power-ups. It makes no sense for writers to do this if she was inconsequential to the final portion of the story. Therefore, there will come a point in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex when Himawari will receive a chance to shine and showcase her abilities.

Conclusion

Himawari Uzumaki is poised to become one of the strongest kunoichi in her village. There is absolutely no doubt about that. In fact, some may argue that she might surpass the likes of Sarada Uchiha as well. The original series believed in passing on the mantle to the next generation. Given the fact that Himawari is younger than most characters we know, there is a chance that she might take the reins of the village.

Furthermore, her potential is far higher than Naruto’s, and it has been established clearly. These are some of the reasons why fans believe that she will surpass Naruto in the manga series.
