To perform a flop in the latest 2K NBA title, you simply need to press down on the DPad in MyCAREER. In previous titles, you could perform a flop by double-tapping the B (Xbox) or Circle (PlayStation) button. In NBA 2K25, you’ll need to unlock and equip this animation before you are allowed to try it out.

So, here’s how you purchase and equip the flop animation:

  • In the MyCAREER menu, head to Animations > Animations Store > In-Game Celebrations.
  • Next, go to NBA Pro-AM Standing or Park Standard, and choose the Flop animation, which costs 100 VC.
  • After purchasing the move, go to Gameplay Animations and equip it in both the NBA Pro-AM Standing and Park Standard categories.

When a player dramatizes contact in order to draw a foul, it’s called flopping. NBA 2K25 lets you perform a flop in MyCAREER, where your player can drop to the floor by faking contact.

The flop animation works during both offense and defense, so you can choose when to use it. However, the flop move isn’t that useful in-game, and it usually opens up a path for your opponent. It’s best used in lighthearted situations, such as when you’re goofing around with your friends.
