Epic city-building simulation title Frostpunk 2 will be available to play for Xbox Game Pass owners.
The release of Frostpunk 2 is inching closer with each passing day. It is the sequel to 11 Bit Studios’ critically acclaimed survival title from 2018. Xbox Game Pass owners have reason to celebrate. Frostpunk 2 will soon be joining the long list of games featured on the Xbox Game Pass.
When Will Frostpunk 2 Come to the Xbox Game Pass?
Frostpunk 2 will be available for Xbox Game Pass owners when the game releases on September 20, 2024. This means that users who have an active Xbox Game Pass membership can experience the game at no extra cost. Since Game Pass can also be accessed through Microsoft Windows, PC players also have a chance of getting their hands on Frostpunk 2 through the Xbox Game Pass.
While the game will be featured as a Game Pass title on launch, it is not exclusive to the Xbox. The title will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. However, the game will, unfortunately, not be released for older gen platforms. This means that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will not be able to play the game. This is likely due to the improvements in the visuals and overall mechanics from the first game.
With that, PC and Xbox players can rest easy knowing that 11 Bit Studios’ much-awaited Frostpunk 2 will be featured on the Xbox Game Pass on launch. You can also get your hands on the original Frostpunk through the Game Pass and play through it before the sequel drops on September 20.
