The Starfield Shattered Space DLC launches on September 30 and is available for purchase on the Xbox Store and Steam.
Despite a mixed reception at launch, Bethesda’s space adventure Starfield is currently quite the fan favorite. The Shattered Space DLC is set to release on September 30, 2024, and it will bring a ton of new content. Starfield was available on the Xbox Game Pass from Day 1, but it seems that the Shattered Space DLC will not be directly available on the Game Pass.
The Xbox Game Pass gives you access to the base edition of the game, but the DLC has to be purchased separately via Steam or the Xbox Store. Alternatively, you can choose to buy the Premium Edition upgrade for Starfield, which will then grant you access to the Shattered Space DLC free of cost.
What’s New in Starfield Shattered Space DLC
The Starfield Shattered Space DLC aims to take your space adventure to new (orbital) heights. The story will revolve around the mysterious faction House Va’ruun. Starfield did not explore this faction in detail, so the DLC is likely to include many exciting revelations.
The story will kick off with you stumbling across a derelict space station. You will then be taken to the faction’s home city of Dazra on the planet Va’ruun’kai. It will have interesting characters to meet, mysteries to solve, and many activities to enjoy. Several fans expect Dazra to be a return to form.
Starfield Editions Compared
Starfield is available in two editions – the Standard Edition and the Premium Edition. The former includes just the base game, while the latter includes a significant number of bonuses.

How to Get Starfield Shattered Space
If you are subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass, you automatically have access to the base edition of Starfield. Upgrade to the Premium Edition to get access to the upcoming DLC. You can even get a 10% discount if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Starfield Shattered Space will release on September 30, 2024. The DLC will be available on Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC.
