As seen in the official reveal trailer for the Switch 2, more information like the release date and specifications of the console might be provided in the Nintendo Direct event on April 2, 2025.
The Switch 2 reveal shows off its fresh design that features a bigger screen, newly placed buttons, a modified kickstand, and more. According to the reveal trailer, the console will run both digital and physical Switch games. However, some titles might not be compatible on this new console. “Nintendo Switch 2 plays both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games. Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.”
