Final Fantasy Mode in Final Fantasy 16 Explained
You will only be able to access the Final Fantasy Mode after beating the main story of Final Fantasy 16 at least once. It is a New Game+ setting and has the hardest difficulty in the game.
During your first playthrough, Final Fantasy 16 offered two game modes, the “Story focused” and “Action focused” styles. You could freely change between these two modes anytime. However, the Final Fantasy mode is much more punishing. Once you have started your NG+ journey in Final Fantasy mode, you cannot change the difficulty at all.

- There will be a significant increase in the number of enemies.
- Enemies will be much stronger.
