Dandadan has taken the world by storm with its blend of action, comedy, and supernatural elements. The story follows Okarun and Momo Ayase, two distinctly different individuals who grow a bond through their shared interest in the occult. However, soon they get roped into exhilarating battles against aliens, ghosts, and all other sorts of creatures.

Adapted by Studio Science Saru, the show has stunned fans with fluid animation and relatable characters. Even going past this, Dandadan is a surprisingly layered series that doesn’t shy away from mature themes. This is seen mainly in the case of Acrobatic Silky’s backstory, which broke the hearts of all viewers. Now that the first season has ended with its 12th episode, fans may wonder where to pick up the Dandadan manga after the anime.

Should You Read the Whole Manga Even After the Anime?

The Dandadan anime is considered by many fans to be one of the best and most faithful adaptations of the source material. It perfectly captures the essence of the series while adding its own flair through voice acting and visuals.

That being said, for those who have fallen in love with the Dandadan anime, we highly recommend reading the whole manga from the very beginning when experiencing it. Unlike most other stories, this can be quickly achieved since the anime has not reached very far ahead, but there are several more advantages.

Dandadan’s art style is one of its main attractions, displaying the amazing talent of Yukinobu Tatsu. The hyper-detailed action sequences, exaggerated expressions, and minor details sprinkled in the manga cannot be perfectly replicated by anime. The manga also progresses rapidly, completely engrossing you in its world.

Directly diving into the manga chapter after the parts the anime adapts is a much easier shift considering how well the show is made. At the same time, the perfect way to maintain consistency in your reading experience is to read from the beginning. Doing this will also save a lot of your time

What Is the Current Ongoing Arc in the Manga?

The current Dandadan arc revolves around a new saga after the hunt for Okarun’s kintama. The Pygmy Princess Arc is currently running. It follows Momo, who became tiny after coming out of Danmanra.

While looking for a solution to revert her size with Okarun, they find themselves attacked by a student named Kouki Yukishiro. Having an army of tiny creatures under her control, Kouki relentlessly attacks Momo. Rather than being the main antagonist, however, there is a hidden mastermind manipulating her actions from the background.

This arc adds an element of mystery and suspense and introduces us to several unique new characters. Seiko is also in action, as she battles enemy Jiangshi.
