Every single character in BALL x PIT plays differently. There are a total of sixteen different characters in the game that players can use. However, most can only unlock fifteen of them since the False Messiah is exclusive to PC players due to the Twitch Integration requirement. How To Unlock Characters in BALL x PIT

Once you get the Knight in BALL x PIT, you will have to find blueprints for other characters in order to unlock them. You can find these blueprints in the Pit, and then you will have to construct them. Furthermore, all the levels in Pit feature a specific number of blueprints. And to get them, you will have to defeat the associated bosses.
After you get a character’s blueprints, you unlock their building in the Housing tab of the build menu. Remember that you will need some specific resources to build each house. When that step is complete, build and place the house in New Ballbylon. Finish building the house to unlock and use the new character.
