The ability to farm gold by creating Gold Mines is a major milestone for base building in Ball X Pit, as it marks the start of a potentially booming economy. After each run in the pit, you can return to your base to expand, construct new structures, and collect resources. This guide highlights the essentials of using Gold Mines, along with tips to maximize their output.
How To Unlock Gold Mines in Ball X Pit
Like other buildings in Ball X Pit, you unlock Gold Mines by gathering their blueprint during your runs into the pit’s various stages. The Gold Mine Blueprint can appear in the Liminal x Desert stage and beyond. Once you have the Gold Mine Blueprint, construct a Gold Mine by spending 10 wood and 12 stone.

How To Place Gold Mines
Once you have four or more Gold Mines, place them in an inverted “U” formation at the base entrance. For example, if you have seven Gold Mines, place three in a straight line, leave one tile of space, and place three more parallel to them on the right. Close off the top of this formation with one Gold Mine.
Now, whenever you launch your characters to harvest gold, they will bounce between the Gold Mines until they run out of gold. If you have an even number of Gold Mines, use another building to close off the top, such as one that is under construction.

How To Maximize Harvest From Gold Mines in Ball X Pit
Once construction is completed, you can assign a worker to mine gold over time. However, the best way to harvest Gold Mines is by bouncing on them repeatedly with your characters. With each bounce, you mine one to two gold. Your characters can bounce on a mine a total of 100 times per harvest, collecting 100 to 200 gold from each mine.
- Construct the Spa to let you spend gold to harvest again instantly. You can then harvest the mines multiple times before your next run, as long as the gold you are collecting is greater than the cost of harvesting. This significantly increases your gold collection between each run.
- Construct a Watchtower to increase the harvest timer, which allows you to store more gold before collecting.
- Build a Market to trade your surplus gold for other resources.
- If you have 6+ mines constructed in the recommended formation, you can get the Gold Miner achievement to mine 1000 gold in a single harvest.
