Battlefield 6 is in open beta this weekend until August 10, 2025. During this time, players will get to sample some of the weapons the game has to offer. This includes the DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle), which is a useful mid-range weapon. It performs less efficiently over long distances and is not the best choice for one-hit kills, but provides decent levels of precision. In this guide, we will look at the best DMR you can use in Battlefield 6.

What Is the Best DMR in Battlefield 6?

The M39 EMR is the best DMR in Battlefield 6. It is less lethal than the other DMR in the game, the SVK-8.6. However, it is far more versatile, making up for relatively low damage output with high precision and a better firing rate than the SVK-8.6.

Best DMR Attachments

These attachments will help you get the most out of a mid-range weapon like the M39 EMR. Keep in mind, you can only put 100 points into your primary weapon in the open beta, so you cannot max out your weapon. In this case, we are only putting 90 attachment points to get the best out of the M39 EMR.

The DMR is open to any class that wishes to pick it up. However, at the moment, Recon seems to be the only class to get the most out of a DMR.

Best Class Build for DMR Loadout

The Recon class is meant to collect intel for your squadmates to use. Additionally, it is excellent at precision sniping.

  • Field Specs: As a sniper, you start off with improved auto-spotting and can eventually inflict headshots, which the enemy combatants cannot revive from
  • Secondary weapon: P18 sidearm for firefights and to finish off a fight
  • Gadget 1: Demolition Charge to remotely detonate enemy vehicles
  • Gadget 2: Deploy Beacon sets up a deploy point for your squad mates, but needs to be reused again once the deployment point is reached
  • Throwable: Frag Grenade for enemy vehicles
  • Melee: Knife for close quarters
