Equip these attachments with Battlefield 6’s best shotgun, the M87A1, and dominate close-quarters combat with this loadout

Close Quarters Combat lays down the foundation for any shotgun weapon. The same goes for the M87A1. While it’s a mighty shotgun that can one-shot enemies with proper crosshair placement, you must use this weapon at close range only. M87A1’s Damage falls apart in the mid-range, and the one-shot one-kill status no longer applies.

For this loadout to be effective, you must follow the Assault Class and adopt a highly aggressive playstyle. This involves pushing objectives, using pillars or corners to mask your position, luring enemies into close range, and flanking them. Here’s how to build it.

Note: The Close Quarters Combat perk is a must to pair with this gun. It boosts your movement speed and reload times. For that, following the Assault Class is compulsory.

We recommend going for these attachments to maximize one-shot kills and keep your reloads quick. You’ll need to grind quite a bit to get the suppressor. This will help lure the enemy without giving away your position. On the bright side, you already have access to the essential attachments from the start.

How It Plays

The real power comes from the Flechette ammunition, which unlocks at Level 18, and for that, you have to keep playing. By the time it unlocks, you will have pretty much mastered the weapon’s mechanics.

That said, the suppressor will come in handy after you reach Level 12, but before that, you will have to use the environment more and cover up. As for the range, you are good up to 15-20 meters, since iron sights are not designed for longer distances.

If you want the meta, it’s simple: play corners, reload whenever you get a break, and don’t let anyone catch you standing out in the open. Stick to the basics, and you’ll frustrate anyone who tries to rush you.
