Discover the new Gauntlet mode in Battlefield RedSec. Uncover how this new game mode works, what it takes to win, and more.

Battlefield RedSec has launched with a brand new mode called Gauntlet. Currently, it is one of the only three modes in the game. Unlike the traditional Battle Royale experiences, Gauntlet takes a different approach. In this mode, the game assigns squads specific objectives and awards them points for completing them. This ultimately decides the outcome of a match.
So, with the basics out of the way, let’s take a closer look at the Gauntlet mode in Battlefield RedSec and what you should expect when diving into the mode.
What Is the Gauntlet Mode in Battlefield RedSec?
The Gauntlet mode in Battlefield RedSec features a lobby size of 32 players. The game splits them into teams of four, resulting in a total of eight teams per match. Each match consists of four missions or rounds. At the beginning of the match, the game assigns each team a mission and awards them points upon completing it.

Unfortunately, the two teams with the lowest score in each round/mission will be eliminated from the match. After a mission timer ends, teams are assigned a brand new mission with a different objective. This new mission may take place in a different location of Fort Lyndon. However, the process is random, and each round could mean a completely new task and location.
Once again, the game eliminates the two teams with the lowest points at the end of each mission and repeats the process until all four missions or rounds are complete. In the final round, only two teams remain. Naturally, the team that scores the most points in the final mission will win that Gauntlet match. This is the fundamental gameplay loop of this mode.
Although completing these missions is the primary way of earning points, you can also earn scores by eliminating enemies or reviving teammates. Fortunately, there are no restrictions on respawns. Players can join the game indefinitely as long as their squad isn’t eliminated.
