Basilio, brother to Fidelio, is a Strength-based character in Metaphor ReFantazio who introduces the Berserker Archetype.
Metaphor ReFantazio has several characters that will cycle in and out of your party, depending on your needs. Basilio and Fidelio join your party early in the game, with both having their strengths. While Fidelio is the brain, Basilio follows his brother’s orders to the absolute and is the brawn in the duo. He hits hard and is one of the better Strength-based characters in the game.

Metaphor ReFantazio: Best Basilio Build Explored
Basilio, as we stated earlier, is the brawns to his brother’s brains. The character has a high base stat for Strength, making him ideal as your first line of attack. He comes with the Berserker Archetype, specially introduced and tied to him in a cutscene. The Berserk’s strong physical attacks pair up well with Basilio’s high Strength, letting him effectively wipe enemies out in just a few turns.
Best Basilio Archetypes and Inherited Skills
Since the Berserker is introduced first to Basilio, we recommend sticking to this Archetype as the two have a high affinity for one another. The Berserker, conveniently, also has skills that buff Basilio’s (already strong) attacks. The support skill Charge increases your attack once per battle, while the Battle Cry reduces the enemies’ attack and defense.
You can also safely rely on the Warrior or the Brawler Archetype. The Warrior comes equipped with strong Slash attacks, whereas the Brawler is efficient with his physical attacks (albeit lesser than the Berserker). The Warrior’s Heat Up passive skill increases attack by 10 percent, further amplifying Basilio’s damage output.

Basilio comes equipped with a high affinity for Strength and a profound base stat for the same. We recommend building further upon this to make the most of the character’s natural talents. We also suggest you invest points into Luck and Endurance equally. Luck will offer you a higher crit rate, while Endurance will increase your ability to tank damage and stay on the frontlines longer.
Best Basilio Equipment
We recommend sticking to hard-hitting weapons such as the Greatsword, Knuckles, or the Axes as they complement the Strength affinity. We also recommend running the Knight’s Bracelet accessory as it adds a +6 to your Strength. Later on, you can pair this with the stronger Captain’s Bracelet that adds a +9 to the stat.
