You might expect a deck that relies on poisoning your opponent to be quite slow. However, Clodsire Ex is the exact opposite in Pokemon TCG Pocket. As long as your opponent is poisoned, this Paldean Pokemon can hit like a truck and as fast as a race car.

Here is how you can construct the best deck around Paldean Clodsire Ex in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Key Cards in the Clodsire Ex Deck For Pokemon TCG Pocket

The deck revolves around poisoning your opponent’s Pokemons and shredding them with Clodsire. Paldean Wooper and Grafaiai are great for setting up the Poison effect.

Once your opponent’s Pokemon has been poisoned, put Clodsire in the active zone and start spamming Venoshock to deal 100 damage for just 2 energy. Leaf will also let your Clodsire fall back if you get too low on health.

How To Use and Basic Combos

Going second is quite advantageous in this deck. This is because Paldean Wooper can use Poison Jab for one energy to poison the opposing active Pokemon. Next turn, you can evolve Wooper into Clodsire and hit them with 120 more damage, which is enough to wipe out a lot of Pokemon. You can use Red to increase this damage further.

Meanwhile, Grafaiai will be activating its ability from the Bench every turn to try and inflict Poison. If you are successful, then Clodsire will be shredding the entire team in quick succession.

Additionally, cards like Iono, Professor’s Research, and Poke Ball help add some consistency to this deck. Also, you can use Giant Cape to extend Clodsire’s life in the active zone before it eventually goes down.

Wooper is quite a squishy Pokemon to put into the Active Zone. So, you might elect to start him on the bench. However, even that can prove dangerous when put up against Fighting type decks. Fighting types already do 20 extra damage to all the Pokemon in this deck.

However, fast Fighting decks are even more lethal because of Pokemon like Hitmonlee having the move Stretch Kick to reach Wooper in the bench. Two uses of these will knock out your Wooper. Lastly, Grafaiai’s Poison application is also dependent on your luck, so if you get unlucky, you will be dealing a reduced amount of damage than expected.
