When building the best Heismay build in Metaphor ReFantazio, we must first take a look at the natural affinities of the character. Heismay routinely displays high agility, and later on unlocks the Thief Archetype through a special cutscene. The character’s high agility stats and affinity to the Thief give you the direction in which you should take your build.
Best Heismay Archetypes and Inherited Skills
The first Archetype we recommend is the Thief Archetype. As stated earlier, Heismay has the highest affinity for this Archetype as it is introduced as part of the story. The Thief helps you steal valuable loot from enemies in the midst of battle. We also recommend using the Gunner to deal damage from a range. The Archetype has skills that boost your evasion, further amping up Heismay’s agility.
As far as skills are concerned, we recommend sticking to Heismay’s support skills to debuff enemies. The Sukunda skill, in particular, is highly effective as it reduces the enemies’ evasion and hits for three turns. The Masukunda skill can also be used to the same effect.
Best Heismay Stats
Since Heismay has high base stats for the Agility stat, we recommend investing in Luck first. This will increase the odds for landing a critical hit. Pair this with the higher number of hits that come with high Agility, and you have a recipe for success. We then recommend investing in Agility itself to keep your character’s natural talents growing over the course of the game. We also recommend investing in Strength. This will play into the damage you deal with counterattacks.
Best Heismay Equipment
The first piece of equipment you immediately need to get your hands on is the Scout’s Anklet accessory. It raises your Agility +6 and is great if you’re aiming for that sweet 80 Agility mark. Later on in the game, you find a superior version of this accessory, the Rider’s Anklet, which raises Agility by 9. As far as weapons are concerned, we recommend sticking to the Katanas if using the Thief Archetype. Dodge attacks and use the Katana for quick counterattacks. If relying on the Gunner Archetype, we suggest using the Bow as your ranged weapon of choice.
