Find out the best hitscan heroes on the Marvel Rivals roster in a ranked manner for your next gameplay session.
There are three types of attacks in Marvel Rivals: hitscan, projectile, and melee. This is also what further divides the 33-character roster based on their gameplay capabilities.
A melee hero usually deals damage at short range and requires close combat fights. Both projectile and hitscan heroes can deal ranged damage. However, projectiles take a while to travel to their target, while hitscan characters can damage their enemies with the click of a button.
The game has some blurry lines between these categorizations. But if you really want to get down to it, we believe there are only 7 hitscan characters among all the ranged heroes. All heroes are equally useful for holding points and supporting allies, but hitscan characters perfectly blend the instant impact of a melee character and the range of a projectile character.
Kindly note that the list is subjective and contains the writer’s opinions. It will be ranked from the best to the least impressive hitscan characters on the Marvel Rivals roster as of S0.
1. The Punisher
What better way to start the list than to have Punisher on it? He is the most classic example of a hitscan character. You are not wrong if you think that bullets take a while to travel to the target. The Punisher is special, though. Only two of his abilities, Adjudication (Assault Rifle) and Deliverance (Shotgun) make him a hitscan character. His turret, ultimate, and smoke bomb are all projectile abilities. He is on top of the list because of his DPS and movement abilities.
2. Black Widow
Star-Lord’s highlight is his mobility. His Stellar Shift ability can dodge many ultimates, even the one shot that could have one-shot him. Not to forget that his Element Guns deal incredible damage in such a short time. This is why his being a hitscan character makes him so powerful. I think he has a slightly more difficult learning curve compared to other characters, but once you get the hang of it, the rest of your time in Marvel Rivals will be “LEGENDARY”!

4. Psylocke
Despite looking different compared to her usual character portrayal, the Psylocke that Marvel Rivals introduced us to is just as powerful, if not more. Her basic ability is a hitscan attack with a good range. What’s even better is that her attacks bounce between targets based on who you hit first. So, if you are quick, you can deal some serious damage—not to forget about her traversal and ultimate.
5. Hela
The Queen of Hel also rules our hearts with all the damage she can deal with using just her basic attack. What’s even better about these attacks is that they are hitscan too. Unfortunately, she does not have enough DPS or CC abilities to be higher up on this list. But her ultimate can be a force to meddle with if you don’t know how to stop it. She can also play a good “support” on the field if your friend(s) choose Thor and/or Loki in a match.
There are also two strategists that are hitscan: Luna Snow and Adam Warlock. Since I didn’t find them fit to be on the above-mentioned list, I felt like they deserved a bonus shoutout for being equally useful as characters. I can’t compare them with the given duelists, but their importance on the battlefield shouldn’t be overlooked!
