Everything you need to know about the best Ironeye build for the Enhanced Darkdrift Knight (Fulghor) in Elden Ring Nightreign.

The Enhanced Darkdrift Knight is arguably one of the toughest bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign. The regular Darkdrift Knight was already a significant jump in difficulty compared to the very first Expedition, Tricephalos. However, the Everdark Sovereign variant of the centaur is an even more challenging Nightlord, and a perfect option for players who are already in the endgame.
While the regular Darkdrift Knight can be defeated using any of the Nightfarers, that doesn’t seem to be the case with the enhanced version of the Nightlord. In our testing, we found that the Everdark Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow, can be quite difficult for Nightfarers like Revenant, Duchess, and even Executor.
Thankfully, if you’re having too much trouble with the new Everdark Sovereign, you can simply choose Ironeye and breeze through the encounter. Here’s a comprehensive guide on the best Ironeye build for the Enhanced Darkdrift Knight in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview of the Best Ironeye Build for the Enhanced Darkdrift Knight in Elden Ring Nightreign

Ironeye is arguably the best Nightfarer in Elden Ring Nightreign by a large margin. Not only can you dish out massive amounts of damage using Ironeye’s Maerking ability, but you also get to do so while staying far away from the enemy’s most devastating attacks. Ironeye has pretty good Dexterity and Arcane scaling. As such, it can basically work as both an active DPS and a support Nightfarer.
In addition to that, Ironeye can easily stack affinity damage on Nightlords, which tends to stagger them and also reduce their defenses. In the case of Enhanced Darkdrift Knight, you get very small opportunities to dish out damage to the boss.
While you can still sneak in a few hits between its combos, doing so is much easier said than done. In the third phase, Fulghor gains new Twinblade and Greatbow attacks, which can deal lethal amounts of damage at close range.
However, if you’re using Ironeye, you seldom have to get close to the boss. Instead, you can simply stay back and stack Lightning damage on the boss. In the best Ironeye build, we have used Augur’s Relic, which grants you extra vitality (Vigor) to help increase survivability.
Additionally, with this build, you can easily stagger the boss, without ever going close to it, thanks to the Lightning Relic.

How To Use the Best Ironeye Build Against the Enhanced Darkdrift Knight in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here are some tips that should help you easily defeat the Enhanced Darkdrift Knight with the Ironeye build:
- Note that this build is specifically meant for Ironeyes that are playing with a group in co-op. For solo Ironeyes, we recommend going with Frost instead of Lightning. As the Ironeye of the group, your primary role during the boss fight is to deal consistent Lightning damage to Fulghor and also offer support to your fallen allies. Occasionally, you can lure the boss toward you. However, make sure to keep your Ultimate charged for such occasions, in case Fulghor starts using his sprinting combo.
- We highly recommend sticking with your starting weapon on this build and upgrading it to the Epic rarity. You can swap the weapon for another only if you find a Lightning Albinauric Bow or a Black Bow. Otherwise, Ironeye’s starting Bow offers the best DPS over other ranged options. Also, make sure to pick up ranged damage buffing passives.
- During the battle against Fulghor, the second phase is relatively simple to get through, as long as you dish out enough Lightning damage. In the third phase, the boss becomes immune to stagger. However, Lightning still applies a defense debuff to the boss, which is quite helpful. Additionally, do note that Ironeye can stagger Fulghor out of his sprinting combo with his Ultimate Art.
- In the third phase, make sure to keep your distance from the Nightlord. However, at the same time, don’t forget to apply Marking on him either. Essentially, your objective would be to head towards the boss at the start of his Twinblade combo and apply Marking. Once you apply the mark, dodge away from the boss’s combos and continue stacking damage via arrows.
Additional Notes
If you don’t have access to a Lightning Relic, we recommend using a Frost Bow instead. Ideally, you will get a Lightning camp to loot a Lightning Bow from. However, in case you don’t get a Lightning Camp, Frost is the second-best alternative.
As for weapons, we recommend focusing on Bows instead of melee armaments. You can, however, pick up melee weapons if they offer passives like Increased Bow Damage, Increased Ranged Damage, Reduced Projectile Fall-off, etc.
