Shining Revelry added an Ex version of Lucario to Pokemon TCG Pocket. Here is a how to build a proper deck around it.
A new version of the Aura Pokemon has been added to the digital card game, courtesy of the Shining Revelry Booster Pack. This card can be quite powerful when slotted into a suitable deck.
The previous version of Lucario played a more supporting role in Fighting type decks, however, this card plays a more central role by being in the active zone. Here is how to build the best Lucario Ex deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Here are the 20 cards you should use to build the best deck focused around Lucario Ex:
- 2 Riolu
- 2 Lucario Ex
- 2 Sudowoodo
- 1 Marshadow
- 1 Lucario
- 2 Red
- 2 Cyrus
- 1 Sabrina
- 2 Poke Ball
- 2 Professor’s Research
- 1 Leaf
- 1 Rocky Helmet
- 1 Giant Cape
Key Cards in Lucario Ex Deck For Pokemon TCG Pocket
Naturally, the deck is centered around Lucario Ex being the main damage dealer. For this purpose, you use Sudowoodo in the active zone until you have enough energy on Lucario Ex.
Since this card does damage to Benched Pokemon, you can then use Cyrus to drag these unprepared Pokemon out to the active zone for free attacks. The whole time, your normal Lucario will support all the Pokemon by increasing their damage by 20.
Lastly, cards like Poke Ball and Professor’s Research will increase your odds of getting a proper hand.
How To Use and Basic Combos
You will have Riolu or Lucario wait in the backline until you have enough energy to attack. Sabrina and Cyrus will disrupt the enemy formation, meanwhile Red will give you a damage boost to ideally get some knockouts.
Moreover, a Rocky Helmet on Sudowoodo will make your opponent think twice before attacking it. If Lucario Ex or Sudowoodo are taken out, you can push Marshadow to the front to strike back with its 100-damage attack.
Lastly, Giant Cape will just help your Pokemon survive longer on the battlefield, which might make the difference between a win and a defeat.
Counters To Lucario Ex Deck For Pokemon TCG Pocket
This deck can be countered by Meowscarada working alongside a Red. Meowscarada does 130 damage to an Ex Pokemon. Red will increase this by 20 more, putting this at a total of 150, which is enough to knock out Lucario Ex in one move.
Additionally, the entire deck is weak against Psychic attacks, so when put up against decks like Giratina Ex or Mewtwo, this deck will face more pressure than usual.
