The generation 9 Grass starter has made its debut. Here is a guide to building the best Meowscarada Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Tons of Paldean Pokemon were added to the game with the Shining Revelry pack. One of these additions included the Magician Pokemon, Meowscarada. This is a stellar card to use in the current meta, which is filled with lots of Ex cards.
This Grass-type Pokemon deals increased damage to Ex cards at a low cost, making it quite viable to use against several decks. Here is a breakdown of the Meowscarada deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Decklist For Meowscarada Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Here is a complete list of cards you should use in an ideal Meowscarada deck:
- 2x Sprigatito
- 2x Floragato
- 2x Meowscarada
- 2x Exeggcute
- 2x Exeggcutor Ex
- 2x Erika
- 2x Leaf
- 2x Professor’s Research
- 2x Poke Ball
Key Cards in the Meowscarada Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

This deck revolves around the starter Pokemon Meowscarada to deal its main chunk of damage. Meowscarada’s move, Fighting Claws, does 60 damage for two Grass-type energies. However, that’s not the end of it.
If this move is used against an Ex card, it will deal 130 damage. This is the main reason why this deck becomes so good, with so many Ex cards running around in the meta.
Secondly, this card is backed up by Exeggutor Ex. Exeggutor will be the card to put in the active zone at the start of the game. This is because it can hit for 40 (or 80, depending on luck) damage for just one energy. Most low health cards will not be able to stand against this damage.
How To Use and Basic Combos
Ideally, you will want to start the battle with Exeggcute and evolve it into Exeggutor Ex as soon as possible. While Exeggutor tanks a few hits with its high health pool and deals damage in return, build up Sprigatito into Floragato and eventually Meowscarada.
When Meowscarada is ready, use Leaf to retreat Exeggutor and put Meowscarada in the active zone to demolish your unprepared opponents. Meanwhile, Erika can be used to heal whichever Pokemon is getting low on health.
Additionally, Red will be used to reach damage thresholds against Ex cards by giving you 20 more damage.
Counters and Weaknesses To the Meowscarada Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

The main core of the deck is also where its main weakness lies. Meowscarada is good against Ex cards. However it struggles to put up damage against other cards. Therefore, walls like Druddigon could pose a problem to this deck.
Additionally, decks that don’t rely on the Ex card being in the active zone (like s) can also be strong against this deck. So, be careful against these strategies. Lastly, being a Grass-type deck, this deck struggles against its natural weakness, Fire type decks.
That was the complete overview of the Meowscarada Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
