Best Settings for Cyberpunk: 2077 – RX 7900 XT

These are the optimal settings for playing Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty DLC with an RX 7900 XT at 1440p.

The RX 7900 XT is a mighty 1440p mid-range gaming GPU from the RDNA 3 era. It was designed as a direct answer to the RTX 4070 Ti, which it deliberately outperformed. Then came the 4070 Ti Super, which even failed to match the 7900 XT’s raster performance.

Except for raytracing, the 7900 XT is the better choice for most games. When it comes to Cyberpunk, at native 1440p, with raster, the game will run flawlessly, but consider this combination of settings and mods, as these feature in RT as well.

Note: The RX 7900XT requires a CPU with a compute power of at least Ryzen 5 7600X, alongside the Resizable BAR feature. Anything lower than that tier will result in a CPU-bound scenario.

A few keynotes to consider:

  • FSR 2.1 is the better option for upscaling, as FSR 3, technically being superior, fails to translate that into improved image quality. 
  • Use mods such as Radeon Raytracing Refined to play with RT in both the base game and the Phantom Liberty DLC.
  • If you want to use FSR 3.1+ upscaler, using the Optsicaler mod is the way to go.
  • 20GB VRAM is more than enough for 2025, and with Cyberpunk, you can easily use mods such as XilaMonstrr’s 4K Texture Packs.
