Enshrouded early access is upon us and we are here with the best settings for your RTX 4080 and 4080 Super.
Although NVIDIA built the RTX 4080 and 4080 Super for 4K gaming, Enshrouded doesn’t perform as well as expected on them. The holistic engine and its voxel-based nature hammer GPUs. VRAM usage can climb over 14GB; heavy fog or lighting effects may trigger brief power spikes in your GPU.
This game is a survival sandbox, such as unlimited crafting potential, combat, and terrain manipulation, along with being an early-access title, which means one thing: You’ll need a fast CPU (13700KF / Ryzen 7 7700X) to pair with your 4080 / Super. Below are the settings we’ve tuned to ensure a smooth gaming experience in Enshrouded with your GPU.
Note—The DLSS Transformer model is strongly recommended for use here. You can swap it out using the Nvidia app or use the DLSS Swapper application to do that. Also, the game is currently at 20% off on Steam! And it’s available until April 13th.
Best Settings for RTX 4080 and 4080 Super In Enshrouded (1440p / 4K Optimized)
Both RTX 4080 and 4080 Super can easily target these two resolutions (4K and 1440p) at the maximum possible settings, but for a higher refresh rate, we enabled DLSS. Based on our observations, DLSS, particularly the transformer model used in this instance, significantly improves the image quality compared to other methods.
If you’re playing at native 1440p, you can use these settings without enabling DLSS. However, if you choose to play at 4K, it’s best to enable DLSS for optimal performance. Regarding the field of view, you can customize it to your preference.
