Choosing the best Sunday teams in Honkai Star Rail is crucial to maximize his effectiveness as a harmony character. He is a universal buffer that grants allies extra turns, energy, and offensive buffs. This makes him one of the best Harmony characters in the game, which can rival speed buffers like Bronya and energy batteries like HuoHuo.
If you’re looking for an all-around support character that can fit in most teams, Sunday is a perfect candidate. However, he cannot heal your team. You might need to add a healer to your team if you find the enemies challenging.
This guide will help you form the best Sunday teams in Honkai Star Rail. We will also explain both F2P and high-investment team comps and how to use them.
The Best Sunday Teams for F2P (Free To Play)
Here are a few team comps you can try if you are F2P or have low investment in the game:
- Sunday, Asta, (Any Healer), (Any DPS Character)
- Trailblazer: Harmony, Sunday, Gallagher, March 7th: The Hunt
- Sunday, Pela, (Any Healer), Herta

1. Sunday, Asta, (Any Healer), (Any DPS Character)
A speed-focused team gets more powerful if you include Sunday. Asta can help increase your team’s speed, allowing them to take more turns per round. On top of that, the damage buffs you get from the two supports are quite huge.
As for the healer, you can just add Gallagher or Lynx. These two are recommended as they can remove negative effects on your allies.
You can bring any DPS characters you own. 4-star options include Herta, Qingque, Sushang, or March 7th: The Hunt.
2. Trailblazer: Harmony, Gallagher, Sunday, March 7th: The Hunt
A lot of people are not aware, but Trailblazer: Harmony is actually pretty strong right now due to the Super Break mechanics. All you have to do is deplete the enemy’s Toughness Shield to deal massive damage through his Super Break buff.
To complement his buff, Gallagher and March 7th: The Hunt are good options to pick. They both work well with Super Break effects and don’t require too much SP to be effective.
Add Sunday to the equation, and you’ve got yourself a team that can deal heavy damage and can take multiple turns every round. This team composition is also easy to build as you can get free Eidolons for both the Trailblazer: Harmony and March 7th: The Hunt simply by progressing through the story and completing quests.
3. Sunday, Pela, (Any Healer), Herta
This team composition makes Herta the main DPS. You funnel all your buffs to her and turn her into a powerhouse. However, it can be a slow setup as you still need to use Pela’s Ultimate before throwing Herta’s best combo to deal the most damage.
Any healer can work on this team comp. However, it is recommended to use Gallagher or Lynx. These two can remove debuffs on your units. They also don’t cost too much SP, so you won’t have to worry about running out of points to cast a skill for Sunday and Herta.
The Best Sunday Teams for High-Investment Players
If you’ve invested in the game or acquired enough 5-star characters to build a strong lineup, here are a few recommendations where Sunday can fit:
- Sunday, Robin, Aventurine, Jing Yuan
- Jingliu, HuoHuo, Robin, Sunday
- Himeko, Aventurine, Sunday, Jade

2. Jingliu, HuoHuo, Robin, Sunday
This hypercarry team composition will allow Jingliu to keep her Crescent Transmigration active. Simply have Sunday give her all the turns she needs to always enhance her skill. Robin can also support with another Advance Forward and damage amplifiers.
Jingliu’s enhanced Skill takes a small chunk of her teammate’s HP. This is why you need a healer in this lineup. HuoHuo is the perfect candidate as she can also regenerate Energy for the team with her Ultimate.
3. Himeko, Aventurine, Sunday, Jade
A double DPS team composition is also viable with Sunday. However, make sure you can still manage their SP cost. You don’t want to use characters that consume too much SP and end up not being able to cast a skill throughout the round.
Characters like Himeko and Jade work well together. You can also use Herta, which is a cheaper alternative to Himeko. Funnel all your buffs on Himeko to maximize her damage. Jade will simply do follow-up attacks with her.
Aventurine is the team’s tank and shield provider. Make sure to place him in the middle so he can act as a damage sponge for AoE attacks. This is actually a semi-expensive team composition. Himeko is not that hard to acquire as she can be unlocked through the standard banner. During major events, HoYoverse might even give away free 5-star characters, and she is likely one of the options.
