The game brings players’ pirate fantasy to life by crafting an authentic experience, whether it’s sailing across the ocean, hunting for lost treasures, fighting sea monsters, or engaging in intense naval combat. Sea of Thieves can be played solo, but the real fun lies in its multiplayer features and combat.
Players can set forth on a pirate adventure from the get-go. From battling krakens, ghost ships, and megalodons to hunting down hidden treasures, each pirate adventure is different from the last. The Eye of Reach is one of the best weapons in Sea of Thieves. It is also the only far-ranging weapon in the game. This sniper rifle is not just deadly at long range but packs a punch up close. The high skill cap required to properly use this weapon also makes it difficult to master, especially in PVP.
3. Double Barrel Pistol
The Double Barrel Pistol is a unique pistol with two firing modes. It can fire a single shot or a charged double shot with more damage. This makes it a lot more versatile compared to other ranged weapons. The Double Barrel Pistol can be used to both shut down a single enemy and control crowds. This pistol also has six bullets, which is one more than the other guns. Lastly, the gun’s slow reload animation can leave you vulnerable for a long time.
2. Blunderbuss
The aforementioned Blunderbuss is one of the deadliest weapons in the game. What separates it from other guns is that, instead of firing a single bullet, the Blunderbuss fires a scatter shot. Each shot has multiple pellets, which deal individual damage to the target. This can be deadly at close range and is capable of delivering a powerful one-shot kill if all pellets hit their target. The Blunderbuss is arguably the best ranged weapon in the game. It works in both PVE and PVP as a viable option.
1. Cutlass
A pirate adventure isn’t complete without the trusty Cutlass. It is the signature weapon of a pirate and one of the best melee weapons in the game. The Cutlass has two different attacks: one is a single swing, while the other is a thrusting lunge attack. The thrusting lunge is capable of passing through multiple enemies while damaging them. This also works as a movement mechanic to close in or gain distance in any situation. In the hands of the right swordsman, the Cutlass can be one of the deadliest weapons in Sea of Thieves.
