The Black Ops 7 Beta will be conducted in two phases. The first phase is called Early Access, and only a few will be able to get their hands on the Beta during this phase. Then comes the second phase, which is the Open Beta. During this phase, anyone can join in on the action. The upcoming Call of Duty Beta is truly one of a kind.

For the first time in the franchise’s history, fans will be able to dive into both Multiplayer and Zombies modes during the BO7 Beta. So, without any further ado, let’s take a closer look at all the essentials that you need to know before the Beta kicks off.

When Does the Black Ops 7 Beta Start?

As mentioned earlier, the Black Ops 7 Beta will be conducted in two phases. Here’s when they start:

  • Early Access Beta: October 2, 2025, at 10 am PT
  • Open Beta: October 5, 2025, at 10 am PT

During the Early Access Beta, only players who have pre-ordered Black Ops 7 (any platform/version) or have an Early Access Code will be allowed to play.

In the second phase, as discussed earlier, everyone, irrespective of their pre-order status, will be able to participate. As for the Early Access players, fret not, you’ll still be able to partake during the Open Beta.

When does the beta conclude, you might ask? Well, fortunately, there’s plenty of time for you to enjoy the beta, even if you didn’t pre-order the game. Check out the section below to learn more about when it ends.

When Does the Black Ops 7 Beta End?

Here’s when the two phases of Black Ops 7 Beta will end:

  • Early Access Beta: October 5, 2025, at 10 am PT
  • Open Beta: October 8, 2025, at 10 am PT

Players who have Early Access will be able to join the Open Beta as soon as the first phase ends. This means that they will have an entire week to test out the upcoming game before its release. Fans who will be participating only during the Open Beta will have 72 hours to play the game.

Nevertheless, irrespective of whether one has Early Access or not, the Beta will finally conclude on October 8, 2025, at 10 am PT.

How To Join the Black Ops 7 Beta?

To participate in the Black Ops 7 Open Beta, you just need to download the game once the Beta has kicked off. That is it. Once done, you will have access to the game. But the same cannot be said for those with Early Access. If you want to play the Beta early, you must do one of the following:

  • Pre-order Black Ops 7 (Any platform and edition)
  • Obtain an Early Access Beta code

The first one is pretty simple. Just pre-order the game, and you will get Early Access. If you have pre-ordered a disc copy, you will receive a Beta code from the retailer. You must redeem that code on your platform to get Early Access.

What if you don’t want to pre-order without trying out the game first? Well, Call of Duty has it sorted. Simply tune into COD NEXT 2025 on Twitch and watch the livestream for at least 1 hour to receive an Early Access code. This code can then be redeemed to play the Beta early.

What To Expect From the Black Ops 7 Beta?

The upcoming BO7 Beta will feature the following modes:

  • Multiplayer: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Overload.
  • Zombies: Survival

That covers just about everything that you need to know about the Black Ops 7 Beta. It is worth noting here that if you intend to play it on a Windows PC, make sure to have TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled.
