Play COD Black Ops 7 early on multiple platforms with the simple yet effective New Zealand Trick. Here are the details.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is almost upon us, and many eager fans can play the game early. To do that, players must use a trick that involves changing their region to the country of New Zealand, hence the name. Furthermore, if you are a big COD fan and do not want to wait until the official global release on November 14, 2025, follow the instructions in this guide to apply the New Zealand trick to your preferred system, including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
How To Play COD Black Ops 7 Early With the New Zealand Trick

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is set to release on November 14, 2025. However, as the title of this article suggests, you can play the game early by using a simple method. The New Zealand trick is an easy process of changing your client’s location to New Zealand and getting access to the latest Black Ops title earlier than the scheduled time. Follow the instructions below to successfully implement it across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
Xbox Series X/S | Xbox One
Follow the steps below carefully to enjoy BO7 on your Xbox early.
- Launch your Xbox
- Log in to your Activion Account.
- Go to your profile and then find the Basic Info menu.
- Put any random address from the country of New Zealand there and hit save.
- Head to the Xbox settings menu.
- Navigate to the Language and Location section in the System Tab.
- Select New Zealand as your region and restart the console.

PlayStation 5
The Xbox method will also work for PlayStation; all you have to do is follow the same instructions and set the region to Wellington, New Zealand, on your PS5. However, if it does not work, you can follow the alternative method below.
- Create a new PlayStation Account with a separate email address.
- Put New Zealand as your Region
- Buy BO7 with the newly made account and play the game early.
While this method can work, we must warn you that when you try to play COD Black Ops 7 on your original account after release, you may experience some data loss, even though most of it will be stored safely in Activision’s cloud servers.
PC
The method for playing COD Black Ops 7 early on PC differs slightly from the Xbox and PlayStation counterparts due to platform and client variations. You can still follow the earlier instructions and change the region in your Activision account.
However, since this method only works if you play the game through the Xbox app on your PC, and not on Steam, we recommend changing the app settings as well. Follow the steps below:
- Open Windows settings.
- Go to the Time and Language tab.
- Select the Region option through the sidebar.
- Select New Zealand under the Country or Region section.
- Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
- Open the Xbox app again, and you should notice NZD as your currency
- Change the settings for your Activision account following the steps given earlier.
After you are done making all the changes, you should be good to go, and BO7 should become available to you early.
