In Blue Archive, you’ll dive deep into the lives of several girls living in Kivotos. Each character has a separate backstory that you can follow as you establish and continue developing a strong relationship with them. Every interaction can help you gain further insight into their backgrounds and side stories. Completing these might also lead to exciting rewards. The game features a deep relationship system that tracks your bond with each of the students.

In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can improve relationships in Blue Archive and what doing so gets you.

Before diving into how you can strengthen your bond with your students, you must understand how relationships work in the game. You won’t be able to go past relationship level 10 with 1- or 2-star students. If you have a 3-star student, you can push your relationship with them to 20. You can achieve a relationship level of 100 with 5-star students only. However, keep in mind that students’ stats will stop improving past relationship level 50, even though you’ll still benefit from Bond bonuses.

The following are some ways to increase relationships with your students in the game:

  • Talk to them at the Cafe: Check your Cafe every three hours or so. You’ll find several of the students have an icon over their heads. Simply interacting with them here will earn you some Relationship Points. Make sure to return frequently and grab these easy points.
  • Give them gifts: You can offer gifts to your students to earn hefty amounts of Relationship Points and forge a stronger bond with them. Remember that some gift items will earn you greater points from specific students. So, try to figure out which gifts are more beneficial for each student.
  • Lessons: You can set up Lessons for your students in the various classrooms available to you. You will receive Relationship Points for each student who attends these Lessons.

Rewards for Improving Relationships

If you manage to improve relationships in Blue Archive with your students, you’ll get to see cutscenes and messages for each student through MomoTalk. This can give you better insight into their backstories and personalities. Each student with whom you build a bond will also receive stat bonuses as your relationship progresses. These can help you throughout the rest of the gameplay.

Lastly, getting past a certain relationship level with a student will also unlock that student’s Live2D scene as a reward. You can then set this item as your Lobby background.
