The lock requires you to enter four digits, and there seem to be no hints nearby.

To find the campsite lock code, you’ll have to follow a series of steps that don’t make all that much sense. Your first stop to finding the code is to head to the Dark Room. As the name suggests, this room is dark, with the lights turned off. To combat this, you first need to draft and go to the Utility Closet. Head inside and navigate your way through to find a circuit breaker switch. Use this switch to turn the lights on in the Dark Room.
Once the lights are on, head back to the Dark Room. Explore about till you see a picture of an apple orchard, one closely resembling the symbols you saw near the locked gate. Approach this picture and use your magnifying glass to study it closely. At the corner of the picture, near the tree, you will see a date scribbled down. This date, November 28, is the solution to your puzzle. November gives you the 11, which you combine with 28 to get 1128. Head back to the campsite lock and use the code 1128 to unlock the gate.
