Puzzles are the name of the game in Blue Prince, and all of them bring their own challenges, requiring you to take a different approach each time. Some puzzles are contained within a location, while others require you to venture out and come back with newly acquired knowledge. The Chapel and Tomb puzzle is one such puzzle in the game that sees you alternating between two different locations to solve one interconnected puzzle.

The Tomb lies in the Underground area, while the Chapel is well above ground and seemingly disconnected. As you explore the Tomb, you stumble across the Tomb puzzle. This room has a bunch of statues you can interact with, but the purpose of these interactions is beyond you. As you explore more, you see these same statues depicted as paintings in the Chapel, hinting at some sort of connection.

How are the statues in the Chapel and Tomb connected? How do they come together to solve the Tomb puzzle? Read along to find out as we dive into the Chapel and Tomb puzzle in Blue Prince.

As stated earlier, the Tomb in the Underground area is filled with statues. As you approach any of these statues, you’ll notice that you can interact with them. These interactions seem to be linked to a mechanism that opens a secret door. There is no clue as to how to go about solving this puzzle in the Tomb itself. Instead, you need to head back up to the Chapel.

Draft the Chapel and head inside. Look up, and you will see several paintings, some of which seem awfully similar to the statues you saw in the Tomb. You will also see numbers carved under each of these paintings. The numbers represent the order of the paintings, and you must interact with the statues in the Tomb in the exact same order. Interact with the statues in the following order to solve the puzzle:

  • Statue #1: Interact with the statue with the shovel.
  • Statue #2: Interact with the statue with the pan.
  • Statue #3: Interact with the statue holding the rake.
  • Statue #4: Interact with the statue holding the feather duster.
  • Statue #5: Interact with the statue holding the broom.
  • Statue #6: Interact with the statue holding the stick.
  • Statue #7: Interact with the statue holding the staff.
