Smelting is one of the nine Life Skills you can learn in Blue Protocol Star Resonance. This skill works directly in conjunction with Mineralogy Life, where you use it to source the materials to later use for crafting weapons, armors, furniture, among others. This Life Skill is particularly essential for gear enhancements, having a direct influence on your ability score, and setting permanent upgrades for your character.

In this article, we will look at how to use Smelting in Blue Protocol Star Resonance.

You can choose what materials to smelt and upgrade based on your immediate requirements. You can unlock Smelting either from the Life Skill menu or by visiting Gary, the Smelting Master. Once set up, you can access the Smelting Menu by interacting with Gary. Over here, you can choose which item you would like to smelt from the list of available options.

Selecting an item will trigger a pop-up, displaying the description of the material, the recipe, and the ingredients. Depending on the recipe, the quantity of the ingredients would differ. The ingredients for smelting can be obtained by using the scouting abilities of other life skills, such as Artisanry and Mineralogy. The higher the level of the recipes you source, the higher the odds of crafting extra materials for the same item.

The core ingredients for smelting processes are Mystery Metal, Radiant Stone, Fire Forgestone, and Buri Mech Shard, which you will obtain by mining ores using Mineralogy. Apart from minerals, you can also use ‘Burning Stone’ to craft these ingredients, which you will obtain from the Artisanry life skill. You could also choose to directly purchase items from Gary’s Smelting Exchange store or from the Homestead. This will, however, cost you some Luno (Bound) Coins or Homestead coins, respectively.
