Later, it became even more popular when the Cat started playing various celebrated music numbers using its table bangs.

What Is the Bongo Cat Game?
It’s a very simple game that involves a Bongo Cat appearing on your PC desktop. Every time you click on the mouse or type something, Bongo Cat will smack your computer’s Taskbar. You’ll also see a points bar right next to the animated cat. Every keystroke or click will add one point to your total tally. The primary objective of the game is to maximize the points you earn, which will give you access to cosmetic items (hats) for your Bongo Cat.
Earlier, players could only dive into the demo version of the game. However, the full game launched on March 5, 2025. The full version introduced several bug fixes, along with new features and mechanics, into the game. Like the demo version before it, you can download and play the full version of the game completely free.
How To Play Bongo Cat?
As we said, Bongo Cat is a game that involves the cat banging on the taskbar every time you type or click your mouse. So, you don’t really need to commit to playing the game. Even while you’re working on your computer or browsing the internet, you can switch on the game. This will allow you to keep adding points to your total tally and unlock more hats for your virtual feline friend. While the premise might seem overtly simple, the prospect of earning better quality hats for the cat can be a great motivator for players.
You can obviously equip all the hats you unlock on your Bongo Cat. Currently, there are five tiers of items that you can receive while playing – Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. As you might have guessed, you have a better chance of getting lower-tier item drops, while your chance of unlocking a Legendary item is around 1 in 500,000. However, these odds and tiers might change in the future.
Besides the basic premise, the game also supports a variety of customization options for your Bongo Cat. It has a photo mode too, if you like sharing your achievements with your pals. Also, speaking of friends, you can share some of the items you unlock in your game with your buddies.
