Break and Loot Everything

Borderlands 4 belongs to the looter-shooter genre. This name itself implies that ‘looting’ is a core part of the game. You should try to break open as many boxes and crates as you can see. Chances are, they will contain some item to aid you on your journey. These could contain common supplies all the way to Legendary gear. Over time, this would add to your collection.

Don’t Hesitate To Part With Guns

Often times, you might feel like hoarding a good gun as soon as you get it. However, this is not a good tactic in this case. As you level up, weapons you previously used will lose their utility (in most cases). Unless the weapon has an extremely great modifier that lets it perform above its level, you shouldn’t use a weapon if you are a few levels above it.

Use the Jetpack Properly

The Jetpack is a great traversal tool. Normally, you will use it to traverse large gaps and climb over obstacles. However, apart from this, you can also use it as a form of dash. This can be used to close large gaps very quickly in a pinch. You can use this for open-world exploration while also using it in combat to get behind cover quickly.

Get the Digirunner

Exploring long distances on foot may be tiresome. So, you should progress the main story until you get to the Down and Outbound mission. You will be able to claim the Digirunner during this mission. This personal vehicle ensures that long (or short) distance traveling is much less of a hassle than it would normally be. You can get around faster, shoot things on the way, and summon it at any time. There are virtually no downsides to using this vehicle, so get it as soon as possible.

Bank

Storage might become an issue for you, especially if you tend to hoard a lot of items. This is where the bank system comes into play. Whenever you acquire new items that go beyond the capacity of your storage, do not worry. You can simply transfer your old items, which you do not use, to the bank. Of course, this is not an unlimited space as well. However, it is an extra storage slot which can be accessed from various places. Once your adventure has finished, you can check your bank and sell everything unnecessary.
