This guide will aim to provide some possible fixes to solve the bounty not spawning issue in Borderlands 4.
You might have experienced an issue when attempting a bounty in Borderlands 4, where the boss is not spawning. Naturally, this would hamper your progress for the bounty, as you would be unable to even see the target, let alone fight it.
This guide will explore possible fixes you should attempt to get these bounties to start spawning.
Potential Fixes For Borderlands 4 Bounty Not Spawning
Restarting the Game
The most universal solution to fixing most issues in game; a quick restart. Save your game and quickly restart and hop back in. Some users have reported that this was enough to fix the issue.
This is also the most suggested fix due to it being the simplest and fastest to perform. However, it might not work for everyone. If your issue is yet to be resolved, then read on.
Reload the Location
Head to a different location and come back to the area of the bounty. This might force the reloading map to spawn in the bounty you wanted. Some users have also reported engaging in another activity (like finding the lost loot machines) in another location before coming back to check.
Check Around the Area
Sometimes, the bounty might spawn in the wrong location, within the same area. It is advised that you check the area which is surrounding the bounty location, at least within 100m. You might find the bounty target in a different location.
Defeating this target will still complete the bounty like normal. If the issue still persists, we have one final resort available as well.
Last Resort: Abandon the Contract and Come Back To It Again
If nothing else is working, you might want to consider abandoning the contract. After this, you can pick some other contract and hope for the abandoned contract to cycle back eventually. This might not be a short wait, as you might not get the same bounty immediately.
