Talk to Topper and return his stolen legs during the ‘Gone Are My Leggies’ mission in Borderlands 4. Here’s a guide to assist you.
‘Gone Are My Leggies’ in Borderlands 4 is a side mission that unlocks when you complete the ‘One Fell Swoop’ main quest. You can obtain this quest from an NPC named Topper, who can be found in the south-western corner of Dissected Plateau, in Boglight Vigilance. He has lost his “leggies” to a monstrous winged creature and wants you to retrieve them.
To help you out, here’s how you can complete the ‘Gone Are My Leggies’ mission in Borderlands 4 after you accept Topper’s request.

Climb the Lighthouse
To start the quest, you first have to climb the lighthouse where the Topper resides. This is a simple parkour objective that requires both the grappling hook and double jump. Follow these steps to reach the top:
- Look right from Topper and climb the ledge marked with yellow paint.
- Double jump to another platform to the left.
- Jump up to the chest and onto the upper platform.
- Use your grappling hook on the right to jump across to the other side.
- Make one last double jump onto another marked ledge and climb up the stairs.
After you climb up to the top, the Beastie flies away with the legs. This starts a long chasing sequence. Jump off the lighthouse and glide down towards the Beastie, and then switch to your vehicle. Keep following the Beastie till it stops, and your objective switches to killing it.

Kill the Beastie in Borderlands 4
The Beastie is a high-level flying creature that can spawn multiple minions to aid it. If you are underleveled, it is best to return after levelling up. However, the Beastie is weak to the Fire element, so use the burn damage to take it down easily. Additionally, you can rely on Sniper Rifles to take care of the minions in the meantime.
After you kill the Beastie, the legs start walking to Topper’s location, and you have to help it by destroying anything in the path. Moreover, the number of enemies you face depends on how many side objectives and world events you’ve completed. Finally, the mission ends when the legs arrive at Boglight Vigilance and reunite with Topper.

Rewards for Gone Are My Leggies in Borderlands 4
Completing this quest unlocks the ‘To the Limb It’ side mission, which is given by the legs instead. Additionally, here are the rewards you get from this mission:

- Sniper Rifle (Uncommon – Epic)
- Vehicle Paintjob
- Eridium
Note that the amount you receive depends on your character level and how far you’ve progressed in the story.
