The San Saba Songbird Pistol in Borderlands 4 is a Legendary quality weapon. This pistol was able to deal millions of damage and kill any boss in the game with one shot. However, this glitch is now fixed in the current game patch due to its significant impact. You can still use the weapon normally, but the damage won’t be as high as it was with the glitch.
To help you out, here’s how you can obtain the San Saba Songbird Pistol in Borderlands 4.
Obtaining the San Saba Songbird in Borderlands 4
The San Saba Songbird Pistol in Borderlands 4 is a weapon manufactured by Jakobs, one of the many weapon companies in the game. To obtain this weapon, you have to defeat the boss named Rocken Roller in the Trinket Crevass Mine. It is located in the northwest section of Sumplands in the Carcadia Burn region.
To gain access to the boss, you first have to complete the Shadow of the Mountain main quest. Doing so unlocks the entire lower part of the Trinket Crevass Mine for you to explore. Here are some tips on defeating Rocken Roller to make obtaining the weapon a bit easier:
- The boss has a Vile health bar, which means it can regenerate its health. In other words, you have to constantly deal damage to offset the healing effect of the boss.
- You can break the shields off Vile enemies by breaking crystals on their bodies. Doing so is the best way to remove the shield and expose his flesh.
- You should use any weapon that deals Fire damage. The reason is that using the Burn effect is a good way to chip away at the boss’s health without worrying about regeneration.
Once you take the Rocken Roller down, there is a very low chance for him to drop the San Saba Songbird as a reward. Do note that you may need time to obtain the Songbird, since the boss does not always drop the weapon on death.

San Saba Songbird Pistol Glitch in Borderlands 4
The Songbird is a Duelling Pistol that has a special effect. It is to increase the player’s damage by 100% for 5 seconds after swapping weapons. However, the glitch caused the damage increase to persist after the swap was made. Moreover, the effect stacked every time someone swapped back to the Songbird using the weapon wheel.
This allowed the weapon to deal damage up to millions with enough swaps, which was capable of killing any boss in the game with one shot. While the glitch is fixed in the current version, you can still replicate it by rolling back your game to an older version. Do note that you should not roll back versions, as doing so requires modifying the game files. This can render your game completely unplayable if done incorrectly.
