Seventh Sense is a powerful Legendary pistol in Borderlands 4 with a reload damage effect. Learn about its locations and farming strategies.

Seventh Sense is an overpowered Legendary Pistol in Borderlands 4 with a special ability that triggers a damaging effect on reload. To this end, the weapon has a small magazine size, but each bullet inflicts heavy damage.
However, unlike several other Legendary weapons in Borderlands 4, Seventh Sense doesn’t seem to have a fixed drop location. Nevertheless, there are locations and bosses with a higher likelihood of dropping Seventh Sense, allowing you to farm the Legendary weapon to get ideal bonuses.
Borderlands 4: Seventh Sense Locations
There are three main ways to get Seventh Sense:
- Red Chest – Extremely rare drop.
- Arjay Boss – Rare drop
- Vile Ted & The Experiments – Rare drop
Red Chest
Opening a red chest has a very minor chance to give you the Seventh Sense. One of the best ways to farm red chests is Stillshore in the Bonescape area of the Fadefields region. However, the other methods of obtaining the Legendary weapon have proven to be far more efficient than betting on red chests.
Arjay Boss
Encountered during the final main mission, ‘The Timekeeper’s Order,’ in Upper Dominion, Arjay is known to drop Seventh Sense. Although fighting Arjay is challenging, especially at higher difficulties, farming him is a reliable way to obtain Seventh Sense quickly.
Vile Ted & The Experiments

Arguably even tougher to beat than Arjay, “Vile Ted & The Experiments” are a trio of Vile bosses found in Dominion City during the ‘Below the Surface’ side mission. To access Dominion City, you must first complete ‘The Falling Wall.’ Once there, head to the Terminus District and speak with Ted to begin ‘Below the Surface.’ After killing Vile Ted & The Experiments, you can farm the bosses using Moxxi’s Big Encore machine and reliably obtain Seventh Sense.
Seventh Sense Legendary Pistol Stats and Use in Borderlands 4
- Manufacturer: Jakobs – Critical hits will ricochet projectiles to nearby enemies
- Type: Pistol
- Rarity: Legendary
- Unique Effect: Proprioception – Shooting enemies spawns white orbs which float upward. When you reload, they home in on targets, dealing burst damage.
- Red text: “Pfft, I’ve got more than that.”
The Legendary pistol is especially useful for Vex and Rafa when focusing on critical hits as a part of the build. Therefore, it synergizes extremely well with a throwing knife featuring the Penetrator Augment, as it guarantees critical hits for five seconds on the target.
The pistol typically has a magazine capacity of 4, which requires frequent reloading. Every reload causes the spawned orbs to home in on enemies, dealing enough damage to tear through Badass opponents’ health bars.
