Sludgemaw in Borderlands 4 is a late-game boss that you encounter during the All Charged Up side mission. Like most other bosses in the game, you can farm it constantly for loot that is important for a few viable builds. While the fight itself isn’t that difficult, there are ways to defeat the boss very easily to save time farming.

Borderlands 4: Sludgemaw Location
The Sludgemaw in Borderlands 4 is the final boss you face at the end of the All Charged Up mission. However, you first have to complete the Null and Void quest, which also requires completing more faction missions to unlock. After you defeat Sludgemaw for the first time, you can fight him again deep inside the Watershed Gate in Idolator’s Noose.
How To Beat Sludgemaw Boss in Borderlands 4
Sludgemaw is a squid-like monster that can burrow underground and hit you using its tentacles. In addition, the boss summons smaller squid creatures to help him mid-battle. The difficulty in this fight lies in dealing with the summons while positioning yourself to dodge the boss’s attacks. Here are some tips on how to deal with it easily:
- There is a metal platform on the eastern side of the arena where most attacks from the boss won’t hit you. You can easily complete the entire fight while standing on the platform.
- Sludgemaw is weak to burn damage. Therefore, it is best to carry a Fire-element weapon during this fight.
- You should deal with the summons as soon as they spawn. This significantly boosts your survivability during the fight.

Sludgemaw Legendary Drops and Rewards
