The X52 Resonator in Black Ops 6 and Warzone is a free reward in the new Echoes of the Dead event. It is a Special Weapon that shoots shards instead of bullets. This makes the weapon unique and mystical. Since it is an event reward, it is completely free to unlock. All that players must do is complete a specific challenge in either Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone.
So, without any further delay, let’s take a closer look at how you can grab the X52 Resonator for free in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
How To Unlock X52 Resonator in Black Ops 6 and Warzone
To unlock the 52 Resonator in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, you must complete any one of the following three challenges in the Echoes of the Dead event:
- Multiplayer: Get 150 Eliminations
- Zombies: Eliminate 500 Zombies in the Haunted Havoc LTM
- Warzone: 25 Eliminations in Zombie Royale

You, the player, have complete freedom to pick the challenge you wish to complete. Ideally, if you own Black Ops 6, it is recommended to go for the Multiplayer challenge. On maps like Stakeout, it will hardly take you two to three matches to get 150 eliminations.
To equip it in-game, head over to the Secondary Weapon tab of your loadout, and you’ll find it under the Special Weapon section. That said, be wary of how you use it in-game, as it is not your typical weapon. As discussed earlier, it shoots shards and not bullets.
By default, the X52 Resonator shoots at an extremely fast firing rate. However, to compensate for this, the developers have reduced the damage dealt by each shard. But that’s not the only way to wield it. It features three different shard attachments that alter its firing behavior.
The Orbed Eruption Shard shoots a versatile multi-shot. The Spiked Barrage Shard shoots a slow but lethal 7-round burst, and the Stone Escalation Shard can be equipped for a powerful charge shot. It should be clear by now that the weapon isn’t supposed to be used for competitive play. Instead, it is a fun addition for players to spice up their games.
