Is there a way to upgrade Monster Hunter Wilds’ standard edition to Deluxe after already purchasing the former?
Monster Hunter Wilds first released with three editions and one of them was Deluxe. The other two were Standard and Premium Deluxe. All of these editions offered something different to the player base. The only thing common between all of them was the base game. So, if you bought Monster Hunter Wilds only for the base game, you probably selected the Standard version of the game. So, is there a way to upgrade things now? The answer is yes!
Steps To Upgrade Monster Hunter Wilds To Deluxe Edition
PlayStation Players
PlayStation users who bought or received the Standard edition of Monster Hunter Wilds as a gift can upgrade to the Deluxe edition by following the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the PS Store and search for Monster Hunter Wilds.
- Open the game’s official store page and head to the add-ons section. This will usually be at the bottom. If you are using the PS App on your mobile device, you can simply click on Add-Ons beside the About tab.
- This section will include all DLCs, whether paid or free. The one that you are looking for is the Monster Hunter Wilds Deluxe Pack.
- Click on it, buy it to initiate the download, let the updates apply, and open your game.
- The file you downloaded is the bundled version of all the exclusive items of the Deluxe Pack.
There is not much information circling around in the online communities regarding this topic so I am not sure about how Xbox players can repeat the process. However, since the Store works similarly in both consoles, the steps may be almost indentical.
PC Users
PC players who have bought the game from Steam can visit the store to get their Standard edition of Monster Hunter Wilds upgraded to Deluxe. However, the steps are slightly different because there is no bundle that they can buy. Either way, following the steps given below will help them get the items they want:
- Head to the Monster Hunter Wilds store page on Steam.
- Look at the [Downloadable] Content list for the game.
- When you take a look at all of them, you will find that there is no bundle called Deluxe edition there. That’s okay because the contents are individually available at a discounted price.
- You now have the liberty to either buy every DLC there or select as per your wish.
- Purchase, download, apply to the game, and enjoy!
