Find out how well the Steam Deck can run Inzoi and whether it meets the game’s minimum system requirements.
Inzoi is an incredibly detailed life simulator that allows you to customize your character, their home, and the entire town. Although the game is in early access, it has been met with high demand as an alternative to The Sims franchise’s latest installment. With its laid-back gameplay, Inzoi appears to be an ideal title for the Steam Deck.
However, we do not recommend playing Inzoi on the Steam Deck, as it will run on the lowest settings, and frame rates will remain well below 60 FPS. Inzoi isn’t a game well-suited to the Steam Deck for multiple reasons, including performance, optimization, and quality of life issues.
Why You Shouldn’t Play Inzoi on the Steam Deck
Inzoi is a very demanding game in terms of performance, with a minimum requirement of an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or an equivalent GPU. The Steam Deck falls short of this minimum graphics requirement, meaning Valve’s handheld will struggle to run Inzoi on minimum graphics settings.
The Steam Deck falls short in terms of required processing power, too. This is especially apparent in outdoor areas where multiple assets begin loading, leading to drastic performance drops. Playing in such areas with high processing loads will cause the frame rate to frequently drop below 30 FPS.
The only requirement for Inzoi that the Steam Deck meets is RAM capacity. However, Inzoi is still in early access and lacks optimization, especially for the Steam Deck. RAM spikes during the game can lead to hard crashes even in early game areas.

How To Run Inzoi on Steam Deck
Although performance will be poor, you can still run Inzoi on the Steam Deck if you are ready to make several compromises. The best way to do so is to head into the game’s graphics settings, enable “Dynamic Resolution,” and set it to 30 FPS. This will allow you to play the game at a stable 30 FPS in most environments, but the graphics will become noticeably blurry.
The latest Inzoi update has significantly improved its performance on the Steam Deck. Crashes caused by RAM spikes have been reduced, and frame rates are more stable. Nevertheless, several issues persist, including missing shadows at low settings, small text, and slow-loading assets.
