Your Capital City gains more resource slots as the game progresses. The following methods can help increase the resource slots of your settlements.
Camels
Camels are the primary way of increasing your resource slots in the early ages, particularly during the Antiquity Age. As a resource, Camels expand the resource slots of your settlement by +2 while occupying one slot for themselves. However, this won’t work during the Modern Age.
Policies
Several policies, like Commodities and Metropole, increase resource slots. As they both increase one resource slot, make sure to equip these policies when unlocked.
Civics
Several civics, like Chola and Mississippian, increase resource slots. These will take effect when you study the unique civics and unlock them.
- Aksum (Periplus of the Erythraean Sea): Increases one resource slot for Settlements on Coast or Rivers.
