With Civilization 7 slated for release on February 11, 2025, you have to wait just a few hours more to get your hands on the strategy game. 2K Games has also revealed that all players can get the famous military general Napoleon in Civilization 7 for free. In fact, the developers have added separate personas of the historic figure for you to claim. Both of these will be available to players, whether they pre-order the game or buy it at a later date after its release.
Here, we will provide a detailed guide on how you can claim both Napoleon personas completely free of charge!
Napoleon in Civilization 7: Emperor Persona
The first persona you can claim is the Emperor Persona. This is also the easier of the two personas to unlock. All you have to do is create a 2K account if you don’t have one already. Next, you’ll have to connect the 2K account to the platform where you intend to play the game. For instance, if you are on a PC, you will connect the 2K account with your Steam account.
Follow the steps mentioned below to connect the two accounts.
- Step 1: Visit the 2K Games website.
- Step 2: Create a new account if you don’t have one. Or, log into your existing account using the credentials.
- Step 3: Go to the Connections menu after logging into the account. From here, choose your appropriate platform and link to it.
When Civilization 7 releases, you will have to log in with your 2K account. If you have followed the steps mentioned above, Napoleon’s Emperor Persona should already be unlocked.

Napoleon in Civilization 7: Revolutionary Persona
If you are a loyal fan and follower of the Civilization series, unlocking the Revolutionary Persona should be extremely easy for you. You need to own Civilization 6 to unlock this free persona. Simply start Civilization 6 and log in using your 2K Games account. Make sure that it is the same account you plan to use when playing the upcoming 7th installment of the game.
That’s all there is to unlocking Napoleon in Civilization 7 for free. Besides the French general, the game will also have a vast range of other leaders, including Benjamin Franklin, Confucius, Augustus Caesar, and more.
