Clair Obscur Expedition 33 has a vast map with lots of secret nooks and crannies to discover. While discovering some of them depends on how extensively you explore each area, others require the use of certain abilities. You won’t be able to access these locations until you unlock specific abilities, especially for Esquie.
The Isle of the Eyes in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is just such an area. You can only get there when you unlock a particular Esquie ability a fair bit into the game. In this guide, we’ll explain which ability you need to unlock and how to find this island area.
How To Find the Isle of the Eyes in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
To access the Isle of the Eyes location, you’ll need to unlock Esquie’s swimming capabilities. To do this, you’ll first have to complete the Stone Wave Cliffs section of the game in Act 1. Then, spend time with Esquie back at Camp several times to get your Relationship Level with him to level 4. At this Relationship Level, you’ll be able to use Esquie’s swimming abilities. Now, it’s time to find the island in question.
The Isle of the Eyes is in the northeast of the Reacher and to the northwest of Visages. You’ll obviously need to swim to this section of the map before you can finally enter this subsection or region.

What To Do in the Isle of the Eyes in Clair Obscur Expedition 33?
Inside the region, you’ll find a rest flag. You’ll also need to locate and destroy three eyeballs to open the way forward. After you’ve unlocked the path, you can cross a bridge and encounter the Chromatic Boucheclier. Defeating this mini-boss will provide you with some exciting loot, such as 2x Grandiose Chroma Catalyst, the Facesum weapon for Maelle, and 5x Colors of Lumina.
