How To Answer the Gestral Gambler in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Interacting with the Gestral Gambler, he will ask you if you would like to gamble. If you answer yes, he will ask you another question.
“Let’s say that every time I hit, I have a 50 percent chance of dealing 100% damage. What are my chances of dealing more damage in the long run?”
After hearing his question, you have four options for a reply:
- Same chance.
- Lower chance.
- Higher chance.
- I don’t care.
The correct answer for the Gestral Gambler in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is “I don’t care.” After answering the question, he will express his appreciation for your response. You will receive the Roulette Pictos as a reward. This item has a passive effect that gives each hit a 50% chance to deal either 50% or 200% damage.
This item is pretty overpowered if you get lucky with the probability. However, if you do fail, you drop damage by half their value. Nonetheless, it’s a good Pictos to have if you enjoy a bit of gambling.

Where To Find the Gestral Gambler
You will get a chance to interact with the Gestral Gambler during Act 1, where you visit the village. You can find the Gestral Gambler at the back of the village’s casino. Starting at the Sched House, walk around to the right until you reach an area where a Gestral is playing on stage.
Continue walking down the path until you come across a sign that says “An Unbearable Smell Lurks Away.” Follow straight, and you will eventually encounter a giant building with neon lights. This is the casino where you can talk to the Gestral Gambler.
