The first variant of the Augmented Counter Pictos can be acquired after defeating the Bourgeon boss at the Flying Waters. This is a massive behemoth that can be spotted from a mile away. Alternatively, you can use your hard-earned Chroma to buy an upgrade from a Gestral Merchant. Head towards Renoir’s Drafts and find Grour, the local merchant. Before you can buy this item, Grour will want to know if you are worthy of his wares. Pick your strongest party member and beat him in a fight. After winning, you can buy the Augmented Counter I Pictos for 122,125 Chroma.
