Clair Obscur Expedition 33 puts you in a world where there are hundreds of secrets to uncover if you know where to look. For instance, the Manor location in the game is full of secrets that you might unearth during your travels around the map. The Family Canvas is one item that you might find while exploring. The game won’t explain what you need to do with it, but it’s tied to the Manor.
In this guide, we’ll explore just how you can get the Manor Family Canvas in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
How To Find the Manor Family Canvas in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
In Act 3 of Clair Obscur Expedition 33, you’ll be able to unlock Esquie’s flight ability. This is integral in finding the location for the Family Canvas. For this item, you’ll need to travel inside a sub-region named The Canvas. If you can’t locate the sub-region, head northwest from Sirene. Soon, you’ll be able to see a portal to enter The Canvas sub-region on one of the floating rocks nearby. Use Esquie’s flying ability to get up on the rock and access the new area using the portal there.
After entering the sub-region, you can’t miss the large canvas standing upright on the ground nearby. It holds a family portrait, and you can grab it by interacting with it. However, the game doesn’t tell you what you should do with the canvas. And, for many players, it might just remain in their inventories completely forgotten.

How To Use the Manor Family Canvas in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Once you have the Family Canvas in your possession, proceed to the Manor. This is the huge mansion-type location that you enter when you first discover Maelle. The Manor’s different doors connect to the various regions of the game. You can use any of these entrances to get inside the Manor. After reaching the place, proceed to the main entrance hall and stand facing the stairs going up. Just to the right of the stairs, you’ll see a large empty picture frame. Go up to it and interact with it to place the Family Canvas inside.
Putting the canvas into the frame will open a door further along the hallway closest to you. You’ll need to cross a long dining room to get there. Past the opened door, you’ll find a room with an anonymous journal and a new outfit for Maelle.
