Clair Obscur Expedition 33 has tons of quests to complete and trophies to unlock, some of which are borderline infuriating. Yes, we’re referring to the Noir Et Black Trophy. This trophy is one of the hardest trophies to obtain in the game, locked behind a puzzle and a boss.
Unlocking the Noir Et Black trophy requires solving the Painting Workshop’s mystery. There are three different workshops, each with their own unique item that you need to interact with. These items, the Light, the Heart, and the Shape of the Beast, are all at the core of the puzzle you need to solve.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 doesn’t tell you how to go about solving these puzzles, so you may be left feeling confused and may give up on the trophy entirely. As complicated as the Painting Workshop’s mystery may seem, the mechanical process to solve it is fairly simple. You’ll visit the three workshops and find the Faceless Boy there. The boy will give you either Light, the Heart, or the Shape of the Beast. You then have to proceed ahead in the level and find a statue where you can place these items. Interact with all the statues and use the Light of the Beast three times to summon a secret boss, the Lampmaster. Defeat this boss to unlock the Noir Et Black trophy.
The challenge in the trophy mostly comes in finding the workshops. The workshops are in the locations given below:
- Workshop 1: The first Painting Workshop is on an isle just northeast of Stone Wave Cliffs.
- Workshop 2: Exit the Forgotten Battlefield and head northwest.
- Workshop 3: The final Workshop sits on a high floating island east of Sirene and Sirene’s Dress. You will need Esquie’s flight ability to reach there.
