How to Equip Pictos in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
When exploring in the game, you will come across equipment known as Pictos. You can equip these to your characters. However, each of them can only have three equipped at a time.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can equip Pictos in Clair Obscur Expedition 33:
- Make sure you are out of combat.
- Head to the Expedition Menu by pressing the Tab key on your keyboard.
- Choose a party member to check their equipment.
- Select a Pictos slot in the bottom left of the menu.
- Equip the Pictos you want.
You can view the stats of Pictos by highlighting the item. The effects will vary depending on the item you acquired. It is up to you to mix and match this equipment to get your preferred build.
Equipping a Pictos on a character will also grant them special effects called Luminas. However, you can go further and unlock these Luminas so every character can have its effects.

How to Unlock and Equip Luminas in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
You can basically equip a Pictos on a character, and they will gain the bonus Luminas effect. However, there is a way to fully unlock the potential of this special perk. After completing a total of four battles in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 while equipping a Pictos, its Lumina effect will become permanently available. This means you can assign a Lumina to any character, even without its associated Pictos.
Here is how you can equip a Luminas for your character:
- Make sure you are out of combat.
- Head to the Expedition Menu by pressing the Tab key on your keyboard.
- Choose a party member and check their equipment.
- Click on the Luminas slots at the bottom right of the menu.
- Equip the Luminas you have to your character.
Keep in mind that you can’t equip any type of Lumina to any character. Each character has their own Lumina Point value. This means you can only equip a Lumina that’s the same or below its set value. Fortunately, you can upgrade a character’s Lumina Point Value as you make progress in the game.
