Popular Fortnite streamer Clix claimed that he didn’t accept the Sidemen Charity Match invitation to play in a Fortnite tournament.

Popular streamer and XSET member Cody “Clix” has claimed that he was invited to the Sidemen Charity Match 2025. He stated that he had to refuse the invitation to prioritize the upcoming Fortnite Championship Series Divisional Cup. The match will feature top names in the streaming and content creation industry, like AMP member Fanum, Mark Rober, and FaZe Clan member Stable Ronaldo. A fan accused Cody of lying about being invited to the event, but Cody clarified that it was actually a matter of “priorities.”
“I didn’t lie, I got invited. There’s no reason for me to lie, nor do I give a f**k about lying. I did get invited but I can’t do it. It’s about, like, how do I say this, bruh? It’s kinda about the priorities. Like, I’d be so down, but I want to. But what do my teammates think of if I miss an FNCS Division Cup Finals? You know what I’m saying?”

Clix is one of the biggest Fortnite streamers on Twitch and boasts over 8.2 million followers on the platform. The streamer previously made headlines after claiming that playing Fortnite professionally is harder than playing in the NBA. The Sidemen Charity Match will go live on March 8, 2025, and has already sold out Wembley Stadium. Besides Clix, several streamers and content creators are invited to the event. Streaming giants Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed will also be participating in the charity event.
“Pure Idiocy”: Fans React As Clix Misses the Sidemen Charity Match 2025
Since the streamer announced his refusal of the invitation, fans have expressed their disappointment. While some fans claim that Cody is bigger than the Sidemen, many believe that attending the match would have given him a bigger spotlight.
“That’s just pure idiocy, he would have more viewers+ isn’t like he’d be missing out on FNCS or anything.”
