CoryxKenshin promises fans to return to content creation after a recent several-month hiatus, sharing his plans for the future.
Popular YouTuber Cory “CoryxKenshin” Williams, has announced his plans for the new year. Cory had been on a year-long hiatus from the internet. However, he returned to YouTube on December 13, 2024. He has since announced that during his absence from the platform, he had been working on creating a new manga series titled Monsters We Make, a sci-fi epic featuring battles between alien monsters and humans.
In the most recent video, Cory mentioned that he will be aiming to upload 100 videos throughout the year. The 32-year-old also stated that he would be making a consistent schedule.
CoryxKenshin currently boasts over 20.6 million subscribers on YouTube. Despite a 1-year hiatus, Cory garnered over 14 million views on his first video back. Explaining his long hiatus, Cory uploaded a video on the Google-owned platform titled ‘Where I’ve been for the past year…’
In the video, Cory announced his new manga series titled Monsters We Make. He stated his ambitions to turn the manga into an anime adaptation. He urged animation studios including Netflix, CrunchyRoll, and Mappa to pick up the manga for the adaptation.
“Second ambition for Monsters We Make, is to adapt the manga into an anime. You can do anything that you set your mind to. I believe in my heart that I can get this to become an anime… The ultimate goal for Monsters We Make is to get it to a studio… So again, Netlflix, CrunchyRoll, MAPPA, I’m looking at you. Whoever wants to come put in their bids, do it early.”
In an earlier video, Cory discussed certain ambitious goals regarding his manga. While discussing his first ambition, he mentioned that he wanted a story that was rich, original, thought-provoking, and positive in nature. His second one is getting it turned into an anime. His third ambition is to make sure it has fully fleshed-out action sequences. Cory mentioned that he is a big fan of producing a fight choreography.

After Cory posted his return video which also included a trailer for his manga series, many fans and fellow YouTubers welcomed the 32-year-old. Some mentioned their excitement about the new manga, while some were excited about the animated adaption.
